In the Spring Term we will be running the Delancey UK Schools Chess Challenge competition, the largest chess tournament in the world, (over 40,000 children took part last year throughout the whole UK) where players all win prizes of badges and gold spots and mascots.  Further small prizes and a trophy go to those scoring more points.  Players scoring 17 or more points out of  21, or coming first in their age/sex group will qualify for the Surrey Megafinal to be held over the May Bank Holiday weekend.    If you would like to know more about the Chess Challenge, please visit the website


Mrs Armstrong’s  Tuesday Chess  classes  will continue next term.  The children from the lunch time class, will continue to play at lunch time and take part in the UK Chess Challenge.
